I did a bit of research on the difference between the freshwater pearls and the saltwater Akoya pearls. Besides being less in the price, the freshwater pearls are more durable and are easier to care for. The downside difference also is that the freshwater pearls are not as uniform in color and shape as the saltwater. So for my purchase I upgraded the pearls to AAAA quality with an uptick in price. And they are perfect and beautiful-uniformly white, uniform in size and shape. I chose the adjustable length in the chain which I recommend to go with different necklines. Being more durable, there is no chance that I will wear them out from overuse because for now I choose my outfits to go with the pearls!
I got the akoya graduated necklace in 16 inch, AA+ quality with white overtone. The necklace is stunning, a great length for everyday wear. I originally bought this necklace in the 16 inch and the 18 inch, but I couldn't decide which one I liked more so I kept them both! I would have liked to get higher quality pearls but honestly you can't see the imperfections unless you're looking really closely, the shine and colour of them makes up for it completely. They both came with free akoya stud earrings, except one pair is noticeably lower quality than the other which was a little disappointing.

Beautiful pearls. However, I found the 7.0 to 7.5mm t - 8.0o be a bit small. I sent them back for the 7.5 - 8.0mm size. They were more to my liking.

Stunning bracelet which perfectly matches the three-strand necklace. The pearls are a good weight, evenly sized and a lovely colour. So pleased we changed to the white gold clasp because it is very elegant. Excellent customer service is the cherry on the icing.
